What Is Psychiatric Medication Management?
Psychiatric medication management is ongoing care to find the right medication, at the right dose, for your symptoms and goals. It starts with a full psychiatric evaluation and continues with regular follow-up visits.
As a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications, explain the benefits and side effects in plain language, and adjust your plan as you improve. Medication works best as part of a bigger picture, so we also look at sleep, stress, lifestyle and therapy.
Visits take place by secure video, in English or Russian, so you can get consistent care from home.
Conditions we help manage:
Depression and mood disorders, including bipolar disorder
Anxiety, panic attacks and OCD
PTSD and trauma-related symptoms

Medication Management FAQ
-
It is ongoing psychiatric care focused on prescribing, monitoring and adjusting medication for mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD or ADHD. The goal is the most effective treatment with the fewest side effects.
-
Adults whose symptoms affect daily life, work or relationships, people who want a second opinion on their current medication, and anyone who has tried therapy alone and wants to explore whether medication could help.
-
The first visit is a full psychiatric evaluation. We review your symptoms, medical and mental health history, past and current medications, and your goals. You leave with a clear plan and time to ask questions.
-
Follow-ups are usually more frequent while we start or change a medication, then spaced out once you feel stable. We set the schedule together based on how you are doing.
-
Yes. All visits take place by secure, private video, so you can receive consistent psychiatric care from home, in English or Russian.
-
Not always, but medication and therapy often work best together. With your permission, we can coordinate with your therapist, or suggest therapy options if they would help.
-
Yes. We can review medications prescribed by another provider, check for interactions and side effects, and recommend whether to continue, adjust or change your treatment.
-
Tell us between visits. Side effects and slow responses are common in the first weeks, and we can adjust the dose, timing or medication. Never stop a psychiatric medication suddenly without talking to your provider.
