T nonimmigrant status is a temporary immigration benefit that allows certain victims of a serious form of human trafficking to stay in the country for up to 4 years after arriving, provided that they have complied with any reasonable requests from law enforcement for assistance in the identification, investigation, or prosecution of human trafficking or meet the requirements for an exemption or exception.
